What is the difference between a real estate agent and a real estate broker?
In Dubai these are one of the same. A real estate agent needs a broker�s number to trade legally and most real estate agencies are referred to as real estate brokers. In the western world we are more familiar with the terminology real estate agent but the term broker may be more typically used in Dubai quite simply because of translation into Arabic.
On 22nd June 2014 the Dubai Land Department (DLD) confirmed that they have published the real estate legislation guidelines in English.
