A vacation home or short-term rental is a furnished property licensed for stays shorter than a traditional annual tenancy. It offers guests the privacy and facilities of a home - often including a kitchen, living space and building amenities - while providing owners with a professionally managed alternative to long-term leasing.
Dubai's tourism sector is overseen by the Department of Economy and Tourism (DET). The former Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) name is still widely recognised, but DET is the current authority. Vacation-home operators must comply with the applicable DET licensing, permit and operating requirements.
Yes. Owners can reserve their property for personal use, subject to existing Guest bookings and the terms of the management agreement. We recommend giving as much notice as possible, particularly during high-demand periods. Any owner-stay charges or management terms will be confirmed in your agreement.
The Owner remains responsible for the property's utilities and service charges. Where included within the management arrangement, Exclusive Links Vacation Homes can coordinate or settle agreed property expenses on the Owner's behalf and account for them through the monthly statement.
