Syed Ali Asghar

Originally from Peshawar, Pakistan, I moved to UAE when I was only 4 in 1983 and finished my early studies in UAE. I then moved to the United States for a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science for 6 years. I have always been logically and mathematically inclined with a knack for building algorithms and solving puzzles. After working for 2 years in software development, I changed my focus toward Accounting to follow in my father’s footsteps. After completing my Masters in Business Administration in Finance and Accounting in 2011, I moved back to UAE in the same year and started working in a General Trading Business in Ras Al-Khaimah and then in 2012, I moved into Real Estate Industry. In November 2014, I joined Exclusive Links Real Estate Brokers to find another challenge as an Accounts Managers. I fell in love with the office environment and the owners of the company Louise and Zarah. I feel proud and happy to be a member and a part of this family and a wonderful organization.

My main job role is to look after all the property managed individual accounts and reconcile periodically along with internal financial reporting and preparing statements. I also look after all staff and agents commissions and payroll / WPS etc.

In my free time, I help my 2 kids with mathematics and solving puzzles to train them to think analytically. I like to figure out how things work and work on DIY projects, to which end I have a collection of all sorts of tools and some equipment. During weekends, I will be involved in some sort of a home improvement project. I also enjoy outdoor activities like cycling, wall climbing, zip line and cable climbing even though I am afraid of heights. I play the occasional sports like football and cricket. I speak 3 languages, English, Urdu, Pashto and a little Arabic enough to get me in and out of trouble.
